Aims |

The ICL continues the long-term devotion of the Department of Languages and Literatures, and aims to become the center of children’s literature study in Taiwan, and later the center throughout the Mandarin speaking area. Therefore, it is our prior task to collect and to organize the historical materials of children’s literature, the Taiwan local text in especial. The second aim is to establish an independent “Children’s Library”. While the text organization is one emphasis of the ICL’s development, creation and research are the other emphases. Theory studies are essential, and we need to apply them on creation and editing. Through the construction of workshops and the system of “Author in the University”, we can fulfill the fusion of theory and practice. |
